The issue with the church today, is that Christians are not Christ-like (@jaysmoke)
BlogGrowing up we used to hear the phrase WHAT WOULD JESUS DO anytime someone is about to make a decision. I guess as times went by, it became a cliché and subsequently like every other cliché, it soon lost it's significance and value.
But l feel, as Christians, especially in these times, we really need to go back to that phrase and re-analyze our own lives. Are we living like Christ would? Are we doing what He would do in all these situations we find ourselves?
I watched how many black Christians came down hard on anyone who didn't support BLM and how other Christians hated everything Trump including those who supported him and I couldn't but ask myself, what would Jesus do?
The Bible says 'in dealings with each other, let's think and act like Jesus.' This is a very powerful verse. It's so powerful it's scares me. Jesus laid down His life for us. He loved us that much, INCLUDING Judas and Peter even though they betrayed Him. How many Judas, Peters don't we all have in our lives? Yet we are called to THINK and ACT like Jesus towards them. Jesus didn't curse them out. Jesus didn't remind them of his wrongs? Jesus didn't revenge? Jesus just loved and that's what CHRISTIANS do.
It's my prayer that we will all grow and become more like Jesus NOT only on Sundays but every single day of our lives here on Earth.
Shalom ðŸ™ðŸ¾
