NECESSITY OF THE GOSPEL.

In 1Corinth 9:16-27, we see the Apostle Paul write to the church at Corinth of his commitment to  the dispensing of the Gospel.

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
1 Corinthians 9:16 KJV

He had a commission to go preach the Gospel and woe to him if he did not, The necessity! He established the Grace Gospel in the Bible. Necessity in Greek is ANAGKE which means Fate. Fate according to the dictionary means the development of events outside a persons control which implies that when Apostle Paul said a necessity has been laid on him, it was his Fate to preach the Gospel and its not something he could escape.

As believers we are just like Apostle Paul, necessity(fate) is laid on (committed to) us to preach the Gospel.

Whether we do it willingly or not, we will find ourselves doing it because its our Fate. (Jonah 1:1-7, 1Corinth 9:17).

For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
1 Corinthians 9:17 KJV

As Believers, our assignment is to go out there and make disciples of all nations ( Matt 28:18-20).

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:18‭-‬20 KJV.

NECESSITY IS LAID ON US TO DO THREE MAIN THINGS ;

1. Necessity to evangelize our family
2. Necessity to evangelize our city
3. Necessity to evangelize our Nation (world).

God has done His part by making abundant saving Grace available for us. Jesus said as the father sent Him, so does He send us (John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you). as His representatives to go out to the world and preach the Gospel so that whoever believes will be saved and will not be condemned (Mark 16:15-16). This part we play is vital and essential. Its a NECESSITY so lets go and preach.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:15‭-‬16 KJV

This is surely a fact. The question I ask is, does everyone have to use the same method ie meet person and start talking about the Gospel, before we can say they are fulfilling the great commission? Times have changed, societies have advanced and today you can communicate with the world without even stepping out of your house. If you communicate the Gospel in that manner, is that not also fulfilling the great commission?
Sure sir....but when He told us to Preach the Gospel He was specific about making disciples and that goes beyond just meeting people but a combination of Various means by which we can meet people and disciple them. - Fifi Ababio
