Delay is not Denial (@jaysmoke)

Blog

We all know the story of Job. In two days, he lost all his wealth. His cattle, sheep and everything were stolen by enemy nations and taken away. All his servants were killed. All his children were murdered - and he developed an incurable, painful disease. He had every reason in the world to doubt God. He'd lost it all. But Job's response was this: "Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him." (Job 13:15 NIV)

What is it in your life that you want to quit hoping in God for because you feel like giving up? Job lost it all and he said, "No matter what happens, I'm not going to give up. I will continue to hope."

When the situation looks hopeless, even though there's a time delay, you hope on. God's delays are not necessarily God's denials. We have to learn is there is a big difference between "no" and "not yet." Delay never destroys the purposes of God in your life. God is never late even though it may look like it. We just need to have the attitude of Job. No matter what happens, I'm going to hold on, praying expectantly.

Shalom 🙏🏾
