It's no secret that the Bible teaches us, believers, not to be unequally yoked with "unbelievers". Amongst these verses is the very famous one found in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (NLT) Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?

The NKJV puts it this way "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?" 

So clearly we are not supposed to bond/mingle/befriend with unbelievers. So the question is, who is an unbeliever?! An unbeliever is anyone who doesn't believe that Jesus is the son of God. And anyone who doesn't subscribe to the teachings in the Bible.

The last time I checked, this included all other forms of religion including Hindu, Islam, Traditionalist, Paganism, Judaism and Satanism. So anyone who practices any of these religions is an unbeliever.

But I've heard and seen some 'Christians' have some of these people as friends, business partners etc. Even I have a couple of such friends, clients etc. These people do things that are contrary to our faith yet we are proud to call them business partners and friends but we see a homosexual, and we want to CRUCIFY them.

I am not by any means saying homosexuality should be embraced, no, but why are we ok with someone who believes that capital punishment is ok but we are not ok with someone who believes in same sex marriage?

How's one different from the other and if the Bible tells us to not partner, team up, live with unbelievers, aren't we being hypocrites when we love unbelievers but hate homosexuals?

I sincerely pray that God will give us the wisdom to do the right things in this matter.
