In a very dark and tasteless world, you are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. What do you do when you are being persecuted, being lied on, being used as a scape goat, being stabbed in the back?

Do you lash back? Do you try to prove your innocence by any means? Do you curse them out? Do you hate them? Or do you light a candle and shine your light?

As Christians, it's our no 1 responsibility to show/teach the lost the right way to do things. We can't be caught up in their ways. We can't fight evil with evil. We forgive. We endure. We love. We have to be the example of good prevailing in the midst of evil. This is what Jesus expects of us.

Let's pray for the strength, the discernment and the wisdom to know when to light our candles.
