BIOGRAPHY

Dela Kwesi Adom (born May 28), professionally known as DelaRhymes, is a versatile

Ghanaian artist who specializes in the Afrobeats genre i.e. a combination of West African

musical styles such as (traditional Yoruba music and highlife) with hip-hop as well as

dancehall & reggae.

He’s also a spoken word artist, a song writer as well as the initiator of “Rapgelism” which

is simply the art of street evangelism through Afrobeats. He is well known as “The

Rapgelist” due to his evangelistic approach to rap music blended with West African musical

styles as well as dancehall & reggae which makes his style unique and sets him apart from

many Ghanaian and African artistes.

CAREER

He has survived a lot of harsh conditions as he journeys through the road to success

in his career, most especially with the release of his single “Born Again” in 2019.

Early 2021, he released “Born Again” remix after a long break from the global

pandemic (Covid 19) to further emphasize the “Born Again” concept. He believes

“Born Again” remix is a catalyst which would play an important role in the Last

Days’ harvest before the coming of the Messiah. The song made it to the charts

(Apple Music) in Peru, Sweden, Italy & Egypt. He released ‘False prophet” in the

same year (2021) which is undoubtedly a song in season & has hit 78k+ & 75k+

streams on Spotify & Apple Music respectively. He also secured 8 nominations &

has so far won one i.e. “Gospel Artist of The Year”, late 2021 at the Awaken Youth

Movie/Music Awards. He got signed on Atlas Star records; a USA based record label

on September 3rd, 2021 & had his first single release “Time to Shine “in 2022 which

has gained several positive reactions from his fans & the general public both home

& abroad. He got his appointment terminated in 2023.

He’s been interviewed on international platforms such as World-Wide Urban

Radio in Washington D.C, USA, WKDT4202 LIT Radio & Hit Factory FM in Georgia

USA. He recently got featured on Grindaz magazine in Pittsburgh U.S.A. as well as

Graphic Showbiz, which is one of Ghana’s biggest entertainment newspapers on

the release of his single “Born Again”.
