On Sunday, 2nd May, The Vice President of the Scriptural Union, Dr Samuel Ofori Amuna released an audio statement addressed to the President of Ghana regarding the decision by the Minister of Education to institutionalized Muslim fasting in all schools in Ghana.

I 200% support this audio. It's high time we let these Politicians understand who is actually in charge. We've allowed them to do whatever they want for far too long and Dr Samuel totally makes sense when he says Christians are the majority in this country and Christians put them in power, so if they fool, Christians will remove them from power.

But I can't help but wonder, why now? Why haven't they spoken up all these while? It is only when they, Christian Leadership, feel threatened before they do something? When their neighbor is being beaten and left to die, you simply turn to the other side and continue walking. 

We have to do better, not only for ourselves but for our neighbors too. I pray this awakening will lead to a bolder, more outspoken Christian Council that will hold the government into account on all matters.
